The interview was text-only, or I was asked to lend or open a bank account.

Verify, do not trust.

Look up the company in ACRA's business records.
Search for the role on MyCareersFuture or the company's own site.
Contact the company using details you found yourself.
Install the ScamShield app to filter scam SMS and calls.
